These marmalades are so wonderful and refined that it seems to be in front of one of the Nymphae whose names have been chosen for these special marmalades. Aegle, Arethusa, Hespera and Erytheia were the guardians of golden apples tree, that Gea gave as as a wedding gift when Hera accepted Zeus. The best element is not only the elegant glass, but it is the excellent marmalade you find inside. After Extra Strawberry Conserve from Sciacca-Ribera, Colle Vicario has created a new line of marmalade, in particular Citrus Marmalade: Sicilian fruits are of excellent quality, peeled and worked by hand. Hespera is produced with blonde oranges’ pulp and peel by adding a bit of brandy: delicious if tasted alone and can be also used both preparing sweets or second course as orange duck; Erytheia is mandarin orange marmalade, aromatic and delicate thanks to essential oils of this fruit; Arethusa is an happy marriage between red orange and rum, indicate to fill chocolate sweets; finally, Aegle, composed with lemon’s pulp and peel, typically sharp, is indicated to flavour creams and jam tarts.
