CEDRATA TASSONI SODA was launched in 1956 as an “evolution” of the traditional Cedrata Tassoni Syrup: it is a refreshing soft drink, thirst-quenching and ready to be enjoyed in its ideal dose.

A non-alcoholic sparkling drink, sweet but with a hint of sourness to it, of a clear yellow color and bearing the aromas of the citron fruit, from which Tassoni extracts the essential oils to obtain the natural aroma which characterizes this beverage.

Originally prepared with the citrons of the Cytrus Medica variety cultivated on the western shores of Lake Garda, today Cedrata is produced by processing the citrons called “Diamante” – which grow in the sunny southern region of Calabria, in Italy.

CEDRATA - BEST SERVED
Here is our secret to best enjoy the Tassoni Cedrata. Tassoni Soda, the ready-to-go Cedrata in its ideal dose, is a historic Italian drink: a non-alcoholic sparkling drink, sweet and sour, characterized by the scent of cedar. We serve Cedrata in a glass filled with ice. Decorate with a slice of lemon and lemon verbena leaves.

THE HISTORY

The bottle used for Tassoni Soda constitutes a veritable piece of design and is recognized and loved by consumers as much as the drink itself. The bottle containing the drink is a 180ml one, made of clear rough transparent glass – similar to the citron peel effect – which enhances the color and the brightness of the drink. No label is attached on the bottle: initially the branding “Tassoni Soda” was imprinted directly on the glass. In later years, the bottle became more and more basic: the branding and ingredients reported exclusively on the unmistakable yellow and green top. However, on the new 2013 bottle the branding reclaims its place on the glass as a “vintage” tribute to the tradition and history of Cedrata Tassoni.

Refreshing

My family is from Southern Italy, Calabria. We are very familiar with the name "Cedrata" because since I was a child, whenever my sisters or I had a stomach ache, my mother, in her Calabrese/Greek-abrese dialect, would make us drink "Cedrata" which was actually Brioschi. So out of curiosity, I bought a few 4 packs to try. It is surprisingly delicious and refreshing. Like a lemony Gassosa. Get some, you won't be disappointed!
