It has a full taste and a rich tradition dating back to 1559 when St. Vivant De La Salle produced the first bottle of Brandy Armagnac. The famous "crooked bottle" is reminiscent of the original bottles used by St. Vivant. Today, St. Vivant still uses white wine grapes, native to the southwestern French region of Gascony, which is still fermented and distilled in a traditional copper pot. The distillate is aged in oak barrels until it is transformed into flavorful aquavit.
The S. Vivant winery then begins the delicate task of blending the brandies, until it achieves the consistent flavour and the distinctive amber colour with golden hues.
