Crunchy almonds is one of the typical sweets in Italy and in particular in Tuscany. Its simplicity in the preparation and its delicate taste, make it the perfect dessert to be served at table and it can never be missed.
Just like cantucci, the typical Tuscan cookies, crunchy almonds are also prepared in almost all of Italy. The recipe is one of the most ancient ones, in other words it is the one my grandmother prepares every year and she calls it torrone ferrato.
