Scotch Whisky - Highland 10 Years Old Viking Scars Single Malt
Built in 1979 in Orkney, at the gates of Kirkwall, this famous distillery takes its name from the High Park hill on which it is located: at the beginning, in fact, the production of Whisky was illegal and, from that position, it was possible to see anyone entering the port, therefore being able to escape from the various controls of the King's tax collectors. In the varied and characteristic range produced by Highland Park stands out the 10 Years Old Viking Scars, a tribute to the Viking influence in this area. Aged for 10 years in ex-Sherry casks, this Whisky is famous for the perfect combination of green and sweet nuts with a hint of peat.
Light amber hue, the nose opens with classic brackish notes, then herbs mingle with sweet spices and citrus zest. Soft, warm and round taste, blends an earthy vegetable profile with the delicacy of honey, all enriched by delicate smoky notes. Good persistence of sea salt.
