Luna di Miele ("honeymoon") is a goat's milk cheese from La Casearia Carpenedo, the cheese affineur of Camalò di Povegliano, near Treviso. It is made with honey (at least 1.5%), coated in natural beeswax and aged for at least a month in Carpenedo's cellars. The paste is soft and velvety, with a gentle sweetness that becomes more aromatic with age.
Serve it on its own, with a sweet red onion jam or a drizzle of honey, and a wheat beer.
