The almond milk is made from sweet almond oil and almond essence extracted from crushed almonds, cane sugar, and purified water with a touch of real vanilla. There is no mention of the source of alcohol.
The aroma is almond milk, and vanilla with a subtle whiskey backing. The sweet milky almond entry has a thin mouth feel. Vanilla flavor arrives at the midpoint before fading with whiskey flavor, and finishing with Good Humor Toasted Almond Bar taste. While Baileys Almande is a tasty liqueur, it is much thinner than Original Baileys, and it may taste a little watery served over ice.
If you’re vegan or dairy-free, you’ll often find yourself saying no to a creamy Baileys at Christmas, UNTIL NOW.
The best-selling cream brand have announced they are now selling dairy-free bottles of their famed drink. Bailey’s Almande is made of almond milk and it sounds amazing.
The description reads: ‘Our alcoholic almond drink blends sweet almond oil and almond essence (from crushed almonds), cane sugar and purified water with a touch of real vanilla.
‘Baileys Almande is dairy-free and vegan friendly, but very much not free from naughty, delicious indulgence. Best enjoyed over ice.’
It’s also gluten free, and HALF the calories of the normal Baileys drink – each serving of Baileys Almande has just 67 calories, compared to the 130 calories per serving of the regular tipple.
