San Pietro in Beeswax cheese is an aged Italian cow’s milk cheese that tastes like a cross between Parmigiano-Reggiano and Piave. The sweet and aromatic cheese offers sweetness of Piave and a silky texture that reminds you of Italy’s top grating cheese.
Encased in beeswax, San Pietro in Beeswax cheese is infused with subtle notes of vanilla and honey along with a touch of the cellar. The beeswax ensures the humidity is always kept in the paste, giving it a silky texture. The organic unpasteurised cow’s milk cheese is aged for 16- 18 months and coated with beeswax before it is aged for another 3 months.
San Pietro in Beeswax cheese is characterised by harmony within the taste and persistence on the palate. It pairs well with a glass of sweet wine and red barrique wines.
