Donna Rosa Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Handmade Ceramic Jar

Donna Rosa is our everyday Sicilian extra virgin — named in the island's fond tradition of honoring the woman at the head of the family table, the one who keeps good oil within reach and never lets a plate leave the kitchen underdressed. It's the bottle you reach for daily and still feel proud to set out.

Built entirely from Sicilian olives, the blend is led by Nocellara Etnea and Nocellara del Belice cultivars with a handful of others in support, drawn from groves across the island rather than a single estate. The result is approachable and food-friendly, with real Sicilian character and no need to save it for special occasions.

Expect a bright green color with golden-yellow highlights, a medium-fruity nose of green almond and Mediterranean herbs, and a decisive palate with a clean, persistent bitterness and pepperiness that tells you the olives were picked young. It's made for cooking that gets eaten: finish grilled or roasted vegetables, build a proper bruschetta, or sharpen a plate of red meat.

It comes in one of our hand-thrown, hand-painted Sicilian orci, banded in warm ochre, blue and coral in a traditional geometric pattern painted by our artist — every piece slightly its own. The opaque glazed ceramic protects the oil from light, and the cork seal keeps it honest. An heirloom-feeling vessel at an everyday price.
