Made from pasteurised sheep’s milk, lactic ferments, rennet and salt, Tuscano Pecorino is a compact and buttery Italian cheese that is perfect for any occasion. This cheese is aged for 4 to 5 months to bring out its intense flavour and sweet taste.
Its paste is white, lightly rough and friable. With a colour between straw and white, Tuscano Pecorino offers a delicate taste that tickles the palate. Made in small, dense round wheels, this cheese is complex, creamy, nutty and sweet.
Tuscan Pecorino is wonderful as a table cheese and can also be eaten with figs and pears. Tuscan Pecorino also melts well and really delicious when paired with a meal, or drizzle over the honey. It is also a great substitute for Parmigiano Reggiano when grated over salads, soups and pasta.
