Provola cheese is one of the classic Calabrian cheeses and is undoubtedly one of the best known cheeses in the world, since it is robably one of the most widely used and appreciated cheeses thanks to its exceptional flavour and attributes.
Dolceterra Calabrian Provola cheese comes from carefully selected cheese makers who farm their animals and agricultural land following certified production processes.This cheese, made using 100% Italian cow's milk, is pasteurised at 72°C, floated briefly in a brine solution (approx. 3 days), and is free from GMOs or preservatives.
The pasta filata (spun paste) Dolceterra Calabrian Provola cheese has a thin, homogeneous, smooth rind which is bright yellow. Inside the paste is quite homogeneous and solid. This cheese is perfect served as an appetiser or a starter.
